I've read a lot on here before posting. I feel I'm not as bad off as most but I cannot get my credit score to go up. In the past I had several accounts go into collection, some years late, some disputed that were fruitless to dispute because I did not keep on top of it. Well now I'm married, have kids, and it's time to buy a house and my credit is not there. (Neither is my wife's so I'm not the only one, she had a BK discharged a few years back) Now everything that was in collections is paid, and shows that on my credit report. I thought that was enough, I was wrong. Can I just send letters to these companies asking them to remove them from my credit report? I have also bought a car, paid it off, I'm never over my limit on my CC, pay on time, we have furniture we pay on time, and 1 car payment we pay on time, but my score will not get out of the 500s.. What can I do?? |
