To date I have followed all steps in the beginners guide to credit repair. On a positive note when I started this my score was around 538 and now its 603 so it does seem to be working I did a blanket dispute with each CRA for my negatives, and the investigations should be completed within the next week. Here are my questions: 1) If items are verified and updated and listed as "closed; charge off" or "closed, settled for less than full" what can I possibly do to get them removed? 2) I'm pretty sure I am going to have 2 items that are current collection accounts verified. One of them I am going to try a PFD the other I want to try a 1-2 punch. Do I need to purchase new credit report's to give me the 30 day advantage? 3) I had an item which was only on my transunion CR when I started this process which was a closed account, settled for less than full balance. Now I seen it has appeared on my experian report? Is that legal? I assume when I disputed it, the company in question must have updated the other CRA's with the info, but this item was from several years ago |

1. They are the same as any other negative account. You can dispute them again or try one of the other methods such as pay for delete, goodwill, etc. 2. No, you don't need to purchase new reports. 3. Yes, it's legal. They can report it anytime they want, the only restrictions are that they can only report it for 7 years from the DOLA.
