Hi. Two or three months ago I really started trying to clean up my credit report. First, I disputed everything on my Experian report and they took a lot off. My score went from 503 to 626. All of my judgments were removed and some collections. I still have a Dell account, some credit bureau collections, and my late pays on my old house mortgage--CitiMortgage. The say verified. All of these are payed off (some were paid in settlement). Next I went to Transunion, and the results weren't nearly as good. I still have 4 judgements, the credit bureau collections, Dell, and CitiMortgage. Again, all of these are paid in full or paid in settlement. I figured I couldn't do anything else, and then I found this board. I've been reading like crazy, but I'm still not sure what to do next. I disputed with Experian 2 or 3 months ago. With Transunion 1 month ago. Is it too late for me to do anything else? Or can I and should I do a request verification letter? I disputed online. Thanks so much for your help! |

You can always send another dispute, after 30-40 days. You can make it different, by disputing items in another way. You can ask for method of verification. There are all kinds of things you can do. The most important thing is to stay persistent and keep reading up!

On 3/13/10 I disputed personal info and some things that were not mine and 10 days later it jumped up to 603. Then on 7/29 I did a blanket dispute. The next day, 7/30, 13 items were removed and my score went to 626. It was pretty crazy. That was all with Experian. My daughter pays monthly to get my score and hers. Now I'm working on my TransUnion, and as soon as I feel like I've disputed to exhausted I'll pay for my TU score. I also just ordered my Equifax report and I'm waiting to get it - snail mail. Hope that helps.
