So... I have 2 cards that they "charged" off. I couldn't resolve anything with them. I sent them proof they sent bills to wrong address ages ago, etc. they refused to let off any fees, I refused to pay. Not the brightest thing to do on my end for my credit, but it was craaazy! So, I have this collection agency calling me xxxx times a day and they to say the least are extremely rude and I can pay some, but refuse to pay them! I wrote crap one about it and just get general letter back (no phone #) saying 0%apr and thank u for setting up payments even if with another firm type of letter. My plan really is just to pay Crap One directly and hope this collection agency goes away???!!! Along with this Crap One too. They never recorded any positive history for over 5 years that I had on both cards! I have one other card with them in good standing that I think now they finally decided to put on credit report (until somehow one payment was missed and then it spiraled to be close to a year with no payments because I was ticked off!) Has anyone else had experience with something like this? |

Paying Capital One will not make the CA go away. They will still stay on your credit report for 7 years. If you are going to pay someone, you need to get a pay for delete agreement in writing. You can't just "hope" someone will go away. You have to get an agreement with them.
