Default how to remove fraud alert

how do you remove this? there was a ss# on my CR and it was not mine. i called and said that it wasn't mine and they asked mye if i feel I've been a victim of ID theft. I didn't say yes or no i kept repeating " this is not my SS#. I want it removed" now i have a fraud alert on my report and i want it gone

I have said many times not to dispute as "not mine" because of fraud alerts. I have also said many times not to call them. If you want to do this write, you need to read more on the forum before jumping into it.

Fraud alerts can be hell. They can be removed by writing them and asking them to remove it, but sometimes it will take numerous letters.
