Default credit repair advice(help!!)

hello,

ive spent most of the morning reading posts and found a lot of valuable information but have not yet found someone who has a similar situation then i do. so i thought i'd post my own thread and hopefully get some advice regarding my situation.

i recently began paying off all my debt that was submitted to CA from my credit card companies, which i settled through a fixed settlement amount. ive settled 5 out 7 accounts and in the process of settling a sixth account, and the seventh account is current. i recently checked my credit report and the paid accounts are still on my report, they state that they are paid but i want them completely off my report. So what do i next? do i write a letter to the agency or letter to the bureaus and what exactly should i include in the letter if one is necessary. another thing is the hard inquires, i want them off because i know they hinder my score. what exactly should i do about that???
thank you

You will want to dispute them with the CRAs (credit bureaus) by sending them a dispute letter.

You can learn more about the whole process here:

dispute them and they will fall right off

once you paid them off the ca wont waste there time on you. and they wont talk back to the cra causing them to fall off.

Default dispute verified (now what?)

so i sent off the dispute letter, for both hard inquires and the bad credit accounts which i paided in full. i recently received a letter from exquifax stating that the accounts i tried to dispute have been verified and also the hard inquires stay on my report for 2 yrs and cant be taken off. so what next??the accounts are paid, the inquires kill my score, and i want them off my credit report. what should i do??

Which letter did you use? Most of the time when people dispute and it got verified, they didn't use the right letter.

Dear Equifax,

I have discovered inaccurate information on my credit report maintained by Equifax. Please provide evidence that the following inquires belong on my report and that my rights have not been abrogated. In the event that none exist; please delete the damaging inquires.

this is the letter

Send it again, maybe change it up a little. They will come off. Equifax is the easiest to deal with. Make absolute sure you wait the 30-40 days between letters though. That is very important.

Just reword it. Use a different sample letter.
