Hi, here's the situation-I'm out on medical disability and am only able to work pt at less than half of what I used to make. This has been going on for 18 mos. and I'm not sure when/if I'll be able to get back to work FT. During this time I accrued alot of cc debt but was able to make on time payments on all 4 until July. My car broke down and hot water heater decided to die so I had to skip payment for July and August to pay for repairs. They started calling and I spoke with them about my situation. I asked if they could lower the payment and/or interest for 6-12 mos. so I could catch up and the CSR wouldn't budge. I really don't want my score to go into the toilet. Should I try and call again and see if I can speak with a manager or someone higher up? They have stopped calling now. Thanks for any advice!

If they are already reporting the lates, it's already in the toilet. It only takes one late to make the whole account negative. ![]() I would try to call and talk to a manager and keep calling until someone helps you. The squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Thanks for your quick reply. I'm going to start calling first thing in the morning and see if I can reach a manager or supervisor. I'm really hoping they'll work with me because I don't want to have to deal with charge-offs and CA's.
