Can Late payments be taken off??

can late payments be taken off or removed from your credit report. There's 2 accounts that I continuously use and they both reflect 1 late payment each. I must have goofed somewhere.

Just want to know if anyone has had success removing them and how?

Of course they can! The CRAs are just 3rd party, non-government agencies collecting information and selling it for profit. They don't have the last say in what stays on your credit report. Anything can be removed. If you dispute something and they fail to verify it within 30 days and keep reporting it they are violating your civil rights under the FCRA. They have lost many, many lawsuits.

so for example in my case The Home Depot will be considered the CRA(Credit reporting agency)?

So if i choose to dispute the late charge what type of form would i use? A Goodwill Letter? A Dispute Letter style? Suggestions.

No, Home Depot is the OC - original creditor. The CRAs are Equifax, Trans Union and Experian.

How can you really tell if a creditor responded to a dispute or not?

There is really no way to tell unless you take the CRAs word for it.
