Question Arrow Badie and Judgement Method of attack.

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get some advice on how to tackle my last baddies on my transunion and experian and equifax reports. After successfully disputing an old wamu chargeoff, I am down to a 5 year old collection account ($2033) with arrow financial for a providian debt and a default judgment (ugh, sad. I wish I would have contested this back then with the knowledge I've gained recently) with arrow financial entered 4 years old ($1421).

I tried to dispute the judgement first and it came back updated and verified on both ex and tu, even though nothing was updated. Sent method of verification letter, got some "BS form verbage back", that didn't really help a lick and didn't get anything deleted. Recently, I sent a letter to the court addresses that appears on the credit reports ( 2 different ones) and asked them if they report to the CRA's and they stated they didn't, So I sent that in along with a case search results data which netted nada, 0, and so hopefully I'll get some promising news back from the CRAs within the next 30 days.

Not sure how to tackle the arrow account. Listed as closed on Experian and Open on transunion and terms are shown as monthly $2030, which is totally wrong! (heard that arrow plays dirty...read a whole lots of horrors stories doing a google search and there was a big lawsuit against them headed by the AG of Illinois.) I have since moved to another
address not connected to the debt but I don't want to delete the old address because it's connected to a 20 year old aged account and it's making my credit score pretty good on TU.

This is what is showing up on my credit reports:

Listed under other accounts:

Equifax
Account #: AFS ASSIG-####****
Account Status: Open
Condition: Derogatory
Date Open: 1/1/0001 (This shows up on Credit Check Total?!?)
Balance: $2033
Type: Collection
Pay Status: At least 120 days or more than four payments past due
Comments: COLLECTION ACCOUNT

Experian
Account name: Arrow Financial Services
Account number:XXXXXXXX
Acc Type: Collection Department/Agency/Attorney
Account status: Closed
Date Open: 5/1/2005
Balance: $2033.00
Terms: 1 Month
Payment Status: Seriously Past due date

Transunion
Account Name: Arrow Financial
Account Number XXXXXXXXX
Acc Type: Collection Account
Account Status: Open
Date Open: 5/03/2005
Terms $2033.00
Payment Status: Collection Account
Comments: Placed For Collection

They already entered a default judgment for this ($1421), so I shouldn't have to worry about getting sued, since that obviously has already happened.

What would be the suggested method of attack? Should I sent a DV letter to Arrow or do the

1-2 punch? Or dispute with the CRA first?

Oh Yes, I've been getting collections letters from Captial Management Collection who say the collection has to been transferred to them from arrow financial, the amount they say is $3033.00.

Thanks!

You can try the 1-2 punch. If it was transferred to another CA, I'm sure if you dispute the Arrow account again, it should come off. How can they verify it if they sold it???
