I just received my credit report from Experian. My personal information section has my ss# listed. However there is also another ss# listed there as well. I don't understand this. My credit stinks i know. I am going to try and fix it myself with your help, but this concerns me that there is another number listed. I have not checked the other two credit agencies yet. I plan too soon. Everything on the report looks like mine, but it makes me nervous. I don't know how to proceed with this. I am new to this stuff.

that can be a human mistake or a system error. your information is stored on two different data bases and they are filtered against your SSN and sometimes against your DOB when generating reports. System can also mix up the queries as they are also designed by human and are not 100% perfect.
