I have read quite a bit on this site and I'm sure this question has been covered but I can't seem to find it.... I have a couple medical bills that have gone to collections and have been added recently to my CR. I would like to get them off but don't know which method to use. I've listed one of the TL below. Would I use a PFD by sending a letter to the OC? I found out I can't do restrictive endorsements in IL but perhaps they can recall it. Also the TL below mentions that the terms are 1 month. I read on another thread that it's a violation. If that is the case, then I assume I would dispute with the CRA. I know you don't need to specify a reason so what should my letter say? MERCHANTS CREDIT GUIDE Date Opened 3/1/2010 Account Status Closed Mo. Payment Past Due $97.00 Payment Status Seriously past due date / assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department High Balance Limit Terms 1 Month Thanks :D |

Have you tried disputing it yet?

No I haven't. I was waiting on feedback from the folks on this forum. Should I try disputing because the TL info is in violation (from what I've read from other threads) or just try a PFD? Thanks |

You can dispute anything you want at anytime and you don't have to give a reason. It's your right under the FCRA.
