First I would like to thank everybody for all the great information posted here. I have been reading the FAQ and posts for the past two weeks so that I could better grasp how the repair process works. With that being said, I am still sort of at a standstill. I am not sure where to begin on my journey and I hope that the member here can point me in the right direction. I am not going to go into a sob story about my life and circumstances because the bottom line is that I did this to myself and it is my responsibility to fix it. I have many charge offs and delinquent accounts on my reports. I had a bankruptcy in 2002. I currently have no up to date accounts and all are 90+ days delinquent. Where/how/when do I begin the process of rebuilding my credit? What steps should I be taking to get the process rolling? I went out and got binders, folders, highlighter, printer ink, notebooks and pens galore to help me stay organized during this process. I guess I just need a push in the right direction. |

You will want to start by disputing the negative items and adding positive items. As far as getting negatives deleted, start here: Basic Step by Step Beginner's Guide to Credit Repair You should have at least 3 or 4 positive accounts reporting. You can find some credit cards here: Bad Credit Credit Cards Keep the balances of them at least 30-40% below the credit limits. For example, if you get approved for a $1000 credit card, NEVER let the balance get above $400. Good luck!
