Default Results From My Dispute Letters (And a ?? or two)

I've got letters back from all 3 bureaus now and all of them took less than a month. Here's how it went.

TransUnion - The first letter I received was asking me for more proof of identification but two days letter I received another letter saying the investigation was complete and they had deleted everything I had disputed.

Experian - The letter I received from them was wanting more identification, mailing it today.

Equifax - They deleted everything except a repo and said it wasn't reporting on their report when in fact it is.

1) Should I dispute with Equifax again or just let it be since the repo goes off in October?

2) How long does it usually take for the report to update and should I wait for it to update before sending out the PFD's ??

Thanks to everyone for all the informative posts, I've wanted to get my credit cleaned up for a while now but always felt like a lost ball in high weeds until finding this forum.

Congratulations! Sounds like you got some great results so far!

1) That's up to you. Equifax has done that to me quite frequently. They show something on my report, I dispute it...they say it wasn't reporting. They are so effing clueless. But, they are pretty easy to deal with as far as getting negatives deleted. Otherwise, I would probably sue them, anyway...

2) What do you mean how long does it take for the report to update? They should have sent you new reports and they should be updated. You can send another round or 2 of disputes before you send the PDFs. Don't give up after 1 round.

I usually ask them to send me a full updated report showing the items removed on my report. A credit monitoring service will probably take awhile to update.

You could send them a letter mentioning that you disputed some items and would like a copy of the updated reports.
