Why Me??? lol We sold our house and cancelled Dish Network. We turned in our equipment and they sent us a refund for $320.00. A week later my wife gets a bill for $152.00. She calls and asks if we owe money because we just received a refund check. They said no you do not owe any money because we would have taken it out of the refund last week. 2 YEARS GO BY..... Dish network shows up on our reports as a $152 collection. I call and they say too bad, you can pay it but WE WILL NOT DELETE FROM YOUR REPORTS. Heres one of the vilolations I THINK..... They removed the "Dish Network" collection (have not paid it yet) and had a new collection agency put it back on our reports this month with A NEW "OPEN" DATE. That starts the SOL all over again doesn't it? Your Thoughts? Fly |

That's the same thing Time Warner Cable done to me. I went in, returned my equipment closed my account, received a refund check of $119.00, went to the bank and cashed it. Moved to Virginia from Texas and tried to open a COX cable account 4 months later and they wanted a deposit because they said I owed Time Warner Cable $268.34. Checked my credit report and sure enough, there it was, $268.34. I called Time Warner Cable collections and they had no explanation as to why the charge was there especially after a refund check was issued. I disputed it 2 times and its still on there as debt owed. Time Warner still sends me collection notices to this day. |
