Exclamation Creditor Transferred... Now what?

I wrote a letter of dispute to the credit bureaus regarding an old credit card account. I received a letter back stating the account was verified and it remains on my credit report. I then sent a letter to the OC to validate the debt. They wrote back stating the debt is valid but the account has been transferred or sold to a different company and they listed the address. Also, the letter states "This letter serves as confirmation that we are reporting your account as being transferred. When a portfolio is sold and/or transferred, the previous account still appears as a trade line on a customer's credit file; however, it should report as "Transferred" or "Sold". If you believe you credit file is not reporting correctly, you must dispute this information directly with the credit bureaus."

What would be a good next step? Should I send a letter to the new company asking for validity or send another dispute to the credit bureaus?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Default Same Here!

I just received my letter today and I had done as I was told and asked that they tell me how, who and address of the acct s verified. Well all that I got was It was Verified, No change and on the other one New Information See Below.( I expected that since it was my BK listing.). Do I just keep disputing the Bk and the other listing? Since I already received my letter can I now sent another one or do I need to wait the full 30 days between disputes? thanks so much for all the help.

You can dispute as often as you'd like as long as you wait at least 30 days between disputes.
