I'm just starting my credit repair and have some questions for anyone with some experience. Pay For Delete - Will a PFD work if the account is 2 - 3 years old and has been charged off or turned over to a CA? I have two public records for tax liens that I have no clue as to what they are. How can I find out exactly what these are and can anything be done with them? One is 16 yrs. old and the other is 13. How long before they are removed from my report? I have a repo from 10/2003 that was charged off, the best I can remember I owed around 11k and the vehicle sold for 8k. How long before this is removed? Thanks |

Disputes should always be sent before attempting a pay for delete. Unpaid tax liens remain for 15 years. So, the one for 16 years should not be on there and should be disputed. I would also dispute the other one as it is ancient and will probably be removed as well. The repo will come off in October, but if you want it off now, you can dispute it. It will probably come off as well...old accounts are usually very easy.
