Smile My score shot up 79 points!!!

A friend of mine offered to add me to his BofA card. It has a $10,800 limit and a zero balance. It just hit my Experian report and raised my EX score by 79 points!!! Yippee!!!! :D

Yes. He just called his cc card company and told them he wanted to add an authorized user. They mailed the card to his address. He activated it, then shredded it. He added me to another card a few weeks ago. They asked for my ss#, but it hasn't yet hit my credit report.

I'm just wondering one thing, Does it affect the account holders credit rating any?

I don't believe it does but I don't know.

Anybody??

If not I might ask my sister to help me out a little!

Zenman,

Not if they just add you to the account. If they ever default on the account, it can give you negative credit, it works both ways. But, unless you have access to the account and are making charges on their account, you are not affecting their credit at all.
