Arrow I just started Lexington Law!

Hi everyone I just started Lexington Law. I want to keep everyone posed on how this process works at least for me.

I made the phone call and the rep. that answered the line answered all my questions. I was told about the fee. (1. I was charged $9.99 to pull my credit report. 2. in five days they are going to charge me $99.00 to set up my account. 3. I picked the third choice of $79.00 a month to have the best service and the three accounts taken care of asap.) Now they did have other plans that are less expensive but I don't have the time or energy to keep up with these collection companies.

I will keep everyone posted every step of the way. I was ripped off by Debt Settlement USA for over $5,000 so don't even think about using them.

I only have three bad marks on my credit report.

1. Is a account with Chase bank. I settled with them threw debt settlement USA for a lesser amount and that should be easy to get removed because the account is already paid.

2. The second is a collection account for a medical bill for around $5000. I never even got a notice of this bill from about 2 years ago.

3. Is a Citibank card that is charged off on my credit report for $17,000. I again got burnt threw debt settlement USA and it was $12,000 now over $17,00.

My credit score is 634 with Equifax. So lets see how this company can help me with the money I have invested.

To date I have spent the rounded up amount of $10.00 I will come back and post a lot to keep you posted. The next amount will be the $99.00 for the set up fee in 5 days so keep checking back for updates.

Hope to be able to post good news,
Sink

I just got an email from Lexington and they already had two of the three credit report. They had a problem getting my last one (equifax) because I had just ran my credit report in Feb. So they just needed the Credit File number from that. Good thing for me I had that file number they were looking for. They did give me information on how to get it in case I didn't have it.

I just called them and they were very nice. The person I spoke to took down the number and told me it would be updated in 24 hours. That was easy enough.

They have also emailed me with there web site with my new passwords. It has there contact information on it in case I have questions. They also have a section with my Paralegal info to get a hold of her. There is a lot of good information on this site.

I am just like any other person out there looking to clean up there credit. I was taken for a ride once and didn't research so I don't want to let that happen again. I also don't have the time to do this myself. I looked on this site and even posted a few posts with only one person (who was also new) respond.

If you have any questions please ask. I will keep you posted every step of the way.

I found out that I only had three marks on my report. One is a charge off, two of the other ones are in collections. I know on my own my fico was also in ok condition 650. I had some accounts taken off on my own.

One of the collections is a medical bill that is already two years old and will fall off in a year.

The last one of the collections is the biggie. It's 17,000 and I just found out they can't garnish is your on disability.

So really not much they can do for me that I can't do for myself. I have read horror stories about how hard it is to cancel and how they still keep charging you.

Let me say this if I was in the position that I had a lot of accounts hurting me and a lot of stuff that needed cleaned up I would definitely be using them. I got a lot of emails and help with any question I had. They had a email address if I had any questions. I used that and they responded in 24 hours like they said they would.

My last thing is just to wait to make sure they don't charge me the 100.00 set up fee. I got a ton of help for the 9.99. When I canceled they sent me a email reassuring me that they canceled my account and nothing else would be taken from my account.

I will def. keep everyone posted.
