Default Credit scores may be misleading

I have treucredit from tranunion. Every month I can update my credit and scores. I have done wonders to get my scores up. I declared Bkpt Cht 7 and it was discharged March 09. At that point all three of my scores were in the 400s! I had tax liens as well. Since then I have made sure all my negative reports were updated to show :Included in Chpt7 BK. They no loger show chareoffs and slow pays on most and only say Bk Chpt 7. I made sure the liens said paid or satisfied in Bk. My scores now thru Truecredit are 631 Tranunion, 615 EQ and 605 Exper. Not bad for a year of work. I did even better with my wife, same scenerio. Her scores are 669 EQ, 647 Exp and 645 EQ.
Heres the problem. When I got to Experian on my credit individual credit report, I paid for my score and it says 574 compated to 605 on truecredit. Both scores were updated and posted as todays score. Why the difference?

And don't let me get started on car dealers checking your credit. My wifes shows 669 on Equifax. She tried to buy a car and they said her Equifax score was only 589. WTF?

Default

What I found out is that TrueCredits scores are much higher than if they are pulled by a bank mortgage co. etc..... I switched and am using Identy guard. I used TrueCredit for sometime never had any problems as a matter of fact still have two accounts open with them. The only reason I switched is because these scores were more in line.

Default truecredit

donjo - does Truecredit update your scores automatically on a monthly basis? I started with them over a month ago and the scores are exactly the same as when I started even though several items have been paid off etc. Am I supposed to do something to get an updated score?

Thanks!

Default update

Yes after 30 days, hit the update report icon on the right side of the page. It will then give you the latest 3 reports and updated scores. You can update your Trans Union score every 24 hrs the same way if you like, but Equifax and Experian can only be done once a month with truecredit.

Congrats. Glad it went up! Just don't put alot of stock in the fact that they are your real credit scores. When you go to finance something you'll find out.
