Default Newbie going to try my own repair. Help?

Hey guys I am working on fixing me and my wifes credit mines is 662, 687, and 687. Hers is a 67,618, and a 695. We hired a company to repair our credit roughly (6) years ago and they did a descent job to get us where we are today. Well they went out of business about 2 years ago and I am going to try do it myself this time around. The company actually had bankruptcy removed from (2) companys it still on my transunion report which is the 662 score. How should I go about disputing this entry. All the other accounts are currently good standing I just wantt o get rid of inquires off all the accounts now. I was also wondering if you dispute something with a letter shpould you dispute alot or one account per letter. The company actually was able to get the bankruptcy off of all of her reports the problem is she still has some account that were closed that showed closed by bankruptcy. Shell also has so late payments. All of our negative stuff is 7 years or older. Any information is very appreciated

Most of your questions are answered here:

Basic Step by Step Beginner's Guide to Credit Repair

Inquiries really don't hurt unless you have a ton of them and they are less than a year old..... but if you do have a lot, you can try disputing online for EQ and for EX and TU you would have to just send in a dispute letter stating you did not authorize them. Some have been lucky disputing them off.

The best (and honestly the quickest) way to delete personal info is over the phone if possible. Just tell them you never lived there... If it's hard for you to find the time to do it via phone, try doing it online.... otherwise you have to write in your disputes and they will usually take the full 30 days.

Here's the link for opting out:

I have had a few come back like that......and I turned around and disputed them as fraudulent and they were deleted. You might want to try that.

Are they, by chance, creditors that are on your report?
If they are inquiries from creditors that are actually on your reports, then they are probably not going to be removed.

How many inquiries are we talking here? Because like I said before.....unless you have a ton of them all in the past year, they are probably not affecting your score too much.
