Default Ordering Credit Reports

Hello Group -

I started looking at the site yesterday and decided to post today, sorry if this question been asked before

We were declined a construction loan yesterday because of couple of lates on our mortgage, one about a year ago and the other November of 2007. I explained to the bank it was due to family death and things were little chaotic, it did not help. I decided to begin looking at my credit history and begin the repair journey.

Thus far I opted out for both my wife and I, next I wanted to order the credit reports. This is where I need help - which one I should order from? I don't mind paying $30.00 a month to monitor both of our reports, but all of the CA's websites are confusing and not sure what I need to order.

Please help me out, I did not realize this can be hard I would the ability to monitor the reports on daily basis, and check the status as often as I can.

Thank you,

Knight

Hi. Welcome

You should start by ordering a report directly from each CRA.
You can always use a monitoring service but these don't always list everything in quite the detail that the CRAs do.

The quickest way is to just order them online.....but you can also order them by phone or US mail.

As far as monitoring services go, there are several that are good.
Here is a link that lists some of them...
Compare credit report monitoring services and read reviews

Just make sure you get one that lets you have daily pulls so you can check/update your reports every 24 hours and monitor any changes.
