Default Negative items dropped, now what?

Hi,

I have been trying to search all over the net for an answer, but without success. Here is my story followed by few questions.

I had disputed a negative item with experian (7 yrs old) and they got back to me within 3 days saying the items have been deleted. My question is

1. Is there any actions that I need to take to ensure that the remaining 2 CRA's also remove the item? Like do I also need to get in touch with 2 other CRA's and tell them about the deleted item or experian will inform the other CRAs?

2. If experian reports the change to other CRAs, how long before it gets reflected on my credit report?

Thanks

Raj

Default Deletions

You will need to dispute the item with the other two agencys, Just because Exp deletes it does not mean the other two will. Good luck Hope this helped

Thanks Courtney

Both experian and transunion have removed the item. Equifax is being a pain. I have filed a dispute with them, so guess i will know the update only by the end of the month.

Good Luck! Patience is key in credit repair. Seems like there is always one bureau that just doesn't want to budge. Best of luck to you, and don't forget to come back and share your results.
