Question Equifax +6...

I received an alert in my email today from Equifax stating an increase of 6 pts. on my credit score. However, it's posted in conjunction with a CA reporting that a dispute was filed (I did a 1,2 punch).

So, question: If Equifax comes back and reports that the debt was verified by them do I lose those 6 pts?
