Default The BS Answers You Get From TU

Back in April '09 I disputed off all old/unknown personal infro from TU which all was Deleted. Then in May '09 I received an updated copy CR from TU from a dispute which is showing again an employer which I never worked for. So again I disputed it off. So yesterday I checked my CR online which again is showing the same employer again which I disputed off back in May '09. TU CR shown verified June '09. So I called TU. Of course I have to talk to a lady that I had a language barrier problem with (very hard time understanding). When asked TU about who verified this employment. The answer I received was "from one of the creditors on your CR" but TU has no record of who reported that info. TU tells me that I need to call all parties on my CR to see who is reporting that info. After going reound and round I was finally able to speek with a manager which she gave me the same BS answer. So it sounds like every month I have to look on my CR to see what new personal info reappears and delete it no matter how many times it shows up.

Has other people had issues like this ?
Is there another way to stop it ?

I'm working on getting the old or wrong addresses, etc. too. Transunion never sent me a full updated report, so I really don't know what they did! They claim to have made changes and showed 1. (my current) so, who knows.

But, I would just dispute it again and ask for validation of the source for the inaccurate info. Maybe even send it CM to show that you are serious about getting that stuff removed. Just a thought. I do think if you have past bills that have an old address, or maybe even employer info that it can show up again. Yet, I wouldn't think a creditor would have reason to verify or report an employer and really, can they? what if they don't know you changed employers, etc. I don't get that.

I think if you dispute AGAIN, ask for verification (I don't think they got it from a creditor personally) and demand DELETION.

Good luck.

TU says they delete the item. I then check to make sure it is off which it is then when I check a month or two later it is back on. The answer I get with TU is that a creditor on my report is reporting the info and TU says that they keep no record of which creditor reports what info about you. That is what stumps me that TU has no way or tracking who puts what on your report.

If they can't give you the information or back up what they are saying... then they should delete!

ugh! Frustrating. again, I'd try writing them a letter this time - I know it's a pain and maybe they'll remove it again.... yeah, maybe it'll show back up again, but hopefully not - because if you ask me they need to tell you who is reporting your info or they are in violation. And I would think if they can't provide that to you, then I would think that is a good thing. right? try again and if it is the same BS, I'd go after them with a violation letter, etc. (sorry, not familiar with that procedure yet, but I'm sure there is something out there. )

I'm getting ready to write to all 3 CR's to get some old addresses removed from my credit reports. There are some I have no idea where they came from as I never lived in that state. Do I just ask them to remove it as it is invalid information? I think it would be better to keep it simple, right?

I deleted all old personal information from all three using there online system. You dispute the items today and usually in a day or two it will be off. That is the only thing I use the online system for. Every thing else is thru the mail.

Well, guess you're good for now! Maybe the third time is a charm - hopefully it'll just stay off.

I actually disputed names, addresses, etc. through mail. I think most were deleted from all bureaus, but I haven't received a new, updated report from a few either like a requested!
