Exclamation Transunion followup

Trish yesterday i posted about Tfingu, verifing my bk7,and calling the courthouse my self(very scary)An she said that if you have a SS# she can verify by phone,or even if she has a name she can verify. Now excause me because they have a name that doesn't give them the right to say that name has a bk.Now today I got a follow up letter from TU stating they are currently investigating the bk,and your accounts included in it.They want copies of my discharge papers and the schedule of creditors included in it.OK now there were some listed that hadn't reported to the cra's.Also there's some that have been deleted. My concern is they will say hey look all these that weren't listed lets really screw them,The good news there not asking for id.So if i provide the info about the incorrect amounts will they try to correct on their own.I kinda need some advice on this as only i and the ca,or co have the correct amount. My thought is they can't correct a court case that is closed, and only i or the trustee can reopen it.

Well, not that I agree with it.......but a BK is public record....so that means that anyone could find out this information.

So TU is asking for your discharge papers? Hmmm......yeah, I don't think that's a good idea. I would not send them anything. Any chances of getting the BK removed later would be gone........that would be giving them solid proof.

You may just need to leave this one alone for a while as it seems as though it may do you more harm than good. I don't think they can "add" on new IIB accts unless the creditor reports it themselves. .........and if you are disputing amounts, they can check with the FOI......they don't need your paperwork or ID to verify that.

That's what i was thinking,If they use pacer all the information they need is in their, the sch names of creditors name,The whole bunch their just want me to do their work for them,I might (might?) write them and tell them that. But i see what your saying. If I'm right can they close this investigation until its resolved,or just report it as verified.

I was thinking that too, I wouldn't provide them with any information, especially if it could be harmful to you in the future. I don't understand how the CRA could ask you for information, itsn't the burdon of proof on them?
