I received something back today in regards to a dispute I submitted awhile ago. they didn’t validate the debt, they only said ...

"We have received and processed the dispute regarding this account and based on our investigation, we are reporting the account status to the three major consumer reporting agencies as follows: account was sold to portfolio recovery”

That’s it! I know I ask this a whole lot, but what now?!

To Whom It May Concern:

This account is still reporting on both mine and my wife’s credit report. Please delete it at once or I will have no choice but to file a complaint with the FCRA and other appropriate authorities.

Thank you

I think you meant FTC ....but otherwise, it looks fine.

I think I would also add something like......."here is a copy of the letter YOU sent me dated xx/xx/xxxx stating that this acct would no longer be reported to the credit bureaus"........kwim? So that they can see that THEY have made a mistake.
