Two questions… 1. If I have an account that the OC sold to a CA, can I send PFD letter and a check to the OC? What are the chances of it being accepted? 2. If the OC accepts the check and all that good stuff, will the CA they originally sold it to be obligated to remove the account if the OC has agreed to do so? thanks!!! |

It depends on if the OC sold the acct or just assigned it. If they only assigned it, then they can recall the debt and have the CA stop reporting it. If it was sold.....they have no right to accept a PFD on an acct they have no control over anymore.
