I would give it a little more time.
Sometimes they are just not sure how to handle a PFD.....so they may be checking into things or sending it to the appropriate dept.

Be sure to keep checking your bank acct so that you can see if they cash the checks.

Two questions…

1. If I have an account that the OC sold to a CA, can I send PFD letter and a check to the OC? What are the chances of it being accepted?

2. If the OC accepts the check and all that good stuff, will the CA they originally sold it to be obligated to remove the account if the OC has agreed to do so?

thanks!!!

It depends on if the OC sold the acct or just assigned it.
If they only assigned it, then they can recall the debt and have the CA stop reporting it.
If it was sold.....they have no right to accept a PFD on an acct they have no control over anymore.

Interesting, how do you find out if they assigned it OR sold it?
Ask the OC? And will they tell you?
But, yeah, I would imagine you should check and see if they cashed your check and go from there.
