Disputing Personal Info w/EQ

I am currently deleting old personal info and work history with EQ online yesterday and this morning I read an email from EQ which they are asking for a:

"Valid Drivers License, Social Security Card or W-2 form, & Utility Bill. Please print this page and fax or mail it in with the required proof documents indicated above within 24 hours."

Has anybody received this request before ?

Just to receive a copy of my CR has been a pain in my a%$ thu EQ.

Yes, EQ does ask for those things.......sometimes more than once.
If you are just starting out with them, go ahead and send them proof of ID. That way they have it in their files.

Funny......EQ was initially the HUGEST PITA when I started repairing my credit. Now it seems they are the easiest. Go figure.

I keep thinking about blacking out part of the SSN when mailing items to CRA because of meil being lost. Or does that just p^%& off the CRA ?

I don't know if it would piss them off.......but it will keep them from identifying you and could delay the disputes. You should only need to do it once (I have had them ask for proof of ID more than once but just ignored it after I sent them the info - that's a typical stall tactic of theirs - but the first time they ask it is legit). When you send in your proof of ID, send it CM so that you know for sure it reaches the right destination. It should be fine.
