Default Disputing old addresses, phone numbers, etc.

So i plan on calling TU and EQ tomorrow to dispute old numbers, addresses, phone numbers, etc. But here is the question, what do i tell them as to why I'm disputing the items?

P.S. already got 4 addresses, 6 phone numbers and employer deleted from Experian.

Just tell them you never lived there.......or that was never your phone number. They won't have any idea if you did or didn't........so no worries.

What if I had already disputed old addresses and now want to get rid of old, old addresses as well (those involved in b/k) ?? Should I try - will they look up old dispute? I didn't write or type it separately, I just marked on credit report - not correct, etc, etc.

Yes....you can still dispute the old ones. You can just say never lived there........if for some reason it comes back verified, I know of a more strongly worded letter for addresses. I will see if I can locate it and then post it later on today.

ok - thanks!
I'll be doing another round of stuff today sometime. And pull my reports since I haven't a clue where they are at right now.

Ok......I actually found it.

These are for addresses that you have a hard time getting off. Still not sure if it will work for EX.....but it's worth a shot.

First, take a close look at the addresses you wish removed,if there is the SLIGHTEST discrepancy, write a short note to the CRA, include a copy of a current utility bill with your current address, and a copy of your drivers license with your current address along with this letter:

Dear CRA,

Enclosed please find proof of my residence address, please remove the address of XXXXX as shown on my credit report # xxxx, as it is inaccurate and I am concerned that this inaccurate address may create an opportunity for identity theft.

Thank you,
*your name*

If there is NO inaccuracy,or if it was a P.O. Box, substitute the underlined phrase with this:

as I have not lived there (or had that PO Box #) for quite some time, and since many other people have been using that address (PO Box#) in the years since I was there, I am concerned that the reporting of this address on my current report may create an opportunity for identity theft"( you can add this if appropriate "as I have a fairly common name")
