Default Response to first round of dispute letters

Experian sent me this bullshlt. "We are responding to your request to verify items....We have already investigated this info & the credit grantor has verified its accuracy. Please refer to your CR for the name, address of grantor who verified this info"

I disputed it a year ago not knowing about this site. Its for 2 judgements from 2002 & a medical bill. I know they didnt verify it. What should I do now. They responded w/in 30 days.

You now have to dispute it with the creditor.Remember the credit bureaus ex/eq/tu only report was is given to them.So if you tell ex it's not yours, they e-oscar the creditor and ask is this him? They send back name address ss#.So ex says ah so its him.So for now your dispute is over.

UGH. I hate Experian with a passion.
You might want to try this letter.
If that doesn't work then yes.......you will have to go directly to the creditor that's reporting it.

Default Dispute verified

Thank You guys, It get so frustrating. I think I read somewhere about a letter I can send saying something like how they didnt send me how they verified it & court houses dont verify judgments. I know they didnt verifiy it correctly b/c I pulled real court documents & its not on there. Well, its not on there correctly. Theres different dates, times, acct numbers, & amt owed. I didnt didnt dispute it as not mine, I did it as incorrect info. I'll bother those idiots every 30days. lol, just kidding. Im still waiting to hear from TU. Thanks again.

On a good note, I got approved for Crown Jewelers!!!.

If its not on there correctly then you can dispute if you have the correct proof they have to reinvestigate.remember they have to be 100% right. If its wrong they have to correct it

Did you send the judgment dispute letter? You should definitely send the court a letter now asking what their policies on verifying records is.

And good deal on CJ! It's a step in the right direction!

Default Dispute verified...now what?

Hi, & thanks for responding.

The letter I sent was a variation of the judgement dispute letter, i think. It said, " Im sending this dispute CM#111111....Im writing to dispute inaccurate info.....I have no knowledge of the accounts from these courts w/these dates. times, amounts....Please verify w/names of creditors & how they verified." Of course it was a little more professional. Was this OK? Now I send the court a letter asking how they verify, right. I wait til I get their response & send the CRA a copy of that letter? Then which letter do I send the CRA? Thing is, is they got all the info screwed up b/t the 2 judgements. They have the 2 judgements mixed together on the CR's. 1 has the others acct #, the amts are switched compared to the actual legal documents, & theres 1 on my CR that isnt even in the public records. Not to mention they're both over 7yrs old.

I also disputed 2 old medical bills that they said were verified. Which letter do I send for them? They are both unpaid from 6+yrs ago but I dont remember ever going for X-rays( TL from American Radiology). Doesnt the CRA's legally have to get documents from American Radiology from the date of service? Thank you again.

Hmmm......I thought I had posted it........but I cannot find it anywhere!

I will also put this in the judgment thread for anyone else that might need it.
It's a pretty simple letter and you can reword it if you want to. You just need to ask them what their procedures are for verifying public records with the CRAs.

Dear Clerk of the Court,

I would like to know the procedure you follow when verifying information which is reported by you to the credit bureaus. Recently I noticed there was an erroneous listing on my credit reports, which I disputed and and was informed by the Credit Reporting Agency that you verified the information as correct.
Please provide me the procedures used by you to verify this information.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Your name

Something along those lines.
Don't forget to include a self addressed stamp envelope. You want to make it as easy as possible to respond to you.
