Default Credit Monitoring Services

Ive noticed that info about Credit Monitoring Services are scattered throughout the site. & usually its just a link to their website. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to start a thread just for the different services to give everyone who is thinking of joining one more info. I've been having trouble myself choosing one & some of the sites make the info I need hard to find. Can anybody tell me what service they use, the charges, any pros & cons, how many CR's can you pull daily, monthly, etc, or any free trials? I also would be interested in knowing if it includes immediate access to 1 , 2, or all 3 CR's & scores. Any other personal experiences w/ these services would be great to add. This is what I'm looking for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
A monitoring company that:
1) gives immediate access to all 3 full CR's(not too concerned about scores)
2) allows daily pulls or unlimited would be nice
3)maybe a free trial, then monthly fee no more than $10 - $20.
4)Alerts, tips, emails, whatever

I think this is is the wrong section again. Sorry, Chane. I really didnt mean to cause YOU any trouble.
I found a site that describes credit monitoring services in pretty good detail.

I'm actually working on a web page that will list all of the credit monitoring services. It will be kind of like the one you posted. At that point, I will delete that page since they are a competitor of mine (and I prefer not to promote my competitors for free). But, I will leave it up for now.

I apologize again. Please remove it. I had no way of knowing that. I saw that TrueCredit was mentioned alot, along w/ many other services that are related to this service & assumed it was OK. I thought that site was just a general consumer comparison site that compared a variety of different services. ( security software, tax software, electronic stores, etc.)

I don't think chane is meaning your post.......I believe he is referring to the link you posted (so I'm pretty sure he was talking about deleting that).

I don't think there is anything wrong with comparing notes on monitoring services.

I have tried several. I did like True Credit because it had all 3 reports and scores plus you could pull your report daily.
What I did NOT like (and this is why I dropped them) is because my acct was put on "hold" and I had to call them. They then explained that I was excessively pulling my reports (uh..what? you ALLOW daily pulls! ). They wanted to know why I was pulling them so often and if one of the reasons was because I was trying to get bumpage (trying to overload the system with pulls so that the hard inquiries would get bumped off). I told them it was MY prerogative to pull my reports whenever I wanted........and to please stop my service. Pffffft. lol

Now I use Credit Secure......which I am very happy with. Only thing is you have to have Amex to get the service.
I have tried several others.......if I can remember which ones, I will be sure to post more info.

It's no big deal. I hope I didn't offend you. I know you're not a spammer and I know you're not trying to promote my competitors on purpose. I ban people who do. (This forum gets spammed pretty much everyday.)

I don't expect most people to know that we actually get paid for referring visitors to certain sites like credit monitoring services, credit repair companies etc. It's called affiliate marketing. Many webmasters do it to help pay for the cost of running a site, but it can also be very lucrative. (I know plenty of affiliates marketers who make millions.) And it's actually what I do for a living. I absolutely love it - it allows me to have total freedom and I hope to never work a real "job" again.

My first priority is providing members with a great community to help each other with credit & debt problems. You provided a good resource that I haven't provided yet, so I am totally cool leaving it up until I come up with one. Hopefully others will benefit from it.

That's funny. I remember bumpage.

This also reminds me of something that Comcast cable did to my friend. They shut him down and he had to call them. They told him the was using too much bandwidth. He was like "Oh, I didn't know there was a limit. How much am I allowed to use?". They said "Well, there isn't really a limit, but you are downloading too much." LOL What kind of shit is that?

It's like going to an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet and them telling you that you're eating too much! I mean, you pay for unlimited bandwidth, but they shut you down for using too much? Then when you ask how much is too much? They won't tell you? Unbelievable.

That is just one of the nightmares he has experienced with Comcast. Unfortunately, they are the only choice for high speed internet in that area, so he's pretty much stuck with them.

Not offended at all. Besides online shopping, this is the only other site I use.lol. I really should familiarize myself more w/ online marketing & money making ideas since Im always on the computer. I appreciate all the info provided on this site. Actually my credit got screwed up 10 yrs ago( & im nowhere near 40yrs old yet) & I havent had any since. It wasnt until I found this site did I realize I could do anything about it. I would be interested in any monitoring services you deal with or recommend.
I have to admit ( & I hate a kissass. lol) I did purchase your book & 3 of my friends joined the site this week. Again, sorry for any inconvenience. Now I think Im going out for a drink or 5! lol. Thanks Chane!
