Default Cleaning up credit.

Hi peoples. New to the site. I am in the process of cleaning up my credit. I have a few questions.
I have some charge offs on my account to start with.
I disputed them on line, couples were deleted and some were updated. Do I have to wait a given amount of time to dispute them again? Or is their another way to get a charge offs of the CR?

Another issue I have
I have some accounts that say settled or written off, how would I go about removing them.

Thanks for you time.

You can dispute them again as soon as you receive your results back........however, I would dispute them for a different reason. Also keep in mind that after disputing the same TL several times, you may get flagged as frivolous......or get the bogus "previously investigated" letter.

How old are the debts? Are they out of SOL?
Settled is better than a CO......but it still means you didn't pay your whole debt.
Written Off is the same as Charged off. Both are bad.

You basically need to dispute these and if they come back verified, then you may need to consider going straight to the furnisher of information and ask for proof of verification of the debt.

The other thing.......if you are willing to do, is offer to pay them for a delete. There is information about this in the beginner's section too.

Once you have been tagged as frivolous you have to wait 3 months before they take it seriously again.

3 months? Where'd you get those numbers?

I think I am on their permanent list. I used to be a serial disputer. They quit removing stuff for me a long time ago. But, I got 90% of it off.

Default Marked as frivolous?

What are the ramifications of being marked as frivolous? When a mortgage lender pulls your report, will they see you marked as frivolous? If so, any idea on the impact this could cause?

Lenders don't see that you were flagged as frivolous.......only the CRAs do.
The big problem with being flagged is that you won't be able to dispute that particular TL for at least 3 months. You will get an immediate response stating it has already been investigated. They will basically refuse to investigate it.

Is that really legal?? Can they just decide that since you've requested some sort of verification before they dont need to look into it again?? I think me owing them money is "frivilous" and there for have decided that I dont need to pay them back...that'll be my response to their "frivilous" BS.
