Hi Recently, about a month ago, I have got a Judgement for $16,300. This judgement is a Tenant and Landlord case. I am a tenant and I fight for this case and I lost it. I dont want to pay landlord that amount. By the way, the landlord doesnt have my social security number, because he didnt check my credit report when I rent his appartment. Now, I need to know is it possible that judgement wont be on CR or when (proxi) it will be shown on my CR? Also, I want to delete that judgement from my CR after it appears there. I moved from my old address and i have a new address more 2 motns. Should I dispute to CRA to delete my 12 years old address and other related info... before the judgement appears on my CR? I have my new address shown on my CR about 2 monts, and isnt it soon to dispute? Please help me to figure out! Than you |

If the landlord got a court ordered judgment on you......then depending on what state you are in........you may not have a choice. They could garnish your wages or seize your bank accounts. Yes, it is possible (and likely) that it will show up on your CRs. There is a guide to disputing/removing judgments in the public records section.

Well, if you have no income or assets then they may not be able to get anything from you. But....in the event that you do start working........just be aware that they could come after you then. Also if you are married, Ca is a community property state........meaning they can go after your spouse too. Just an FYI.
