 settled with the collection agency. now what?
A little over a year ago i co-signed for an individual who i thought i trusted but was wrong and am no longer associated with that person. Anyways, when i applied for a credit card i was denied and couldnt understand why because i had forgotten about the account, so i got a freecreditreport and found what had happened. When i figured it all out i tracked down the account which had been sold to a collection agency i settled with them to pay of the account. Now i need to know how to get the item removed from my credit report? please please help me!
