Default more detail

I've now got some more detail on my accounts from when I fist posted about them.

WaMu card
This card was in collections but I paid to get it out so its not anymore, the card is now closed but I'm dealing with Wamu on a payment plan to pay it off. On my Fico it has how many days it was late but it also has that it is "being paid as agreed"

Chase credit card
This one is the same as the wamu but it never went to collections it stayed with chase the entire time but it was closed anyway , I don't know how that works but it was closed, I also talked to them and now in a payment plan to try and pay this one off as of right now it is stated as the same "paid as agreed " but it also list how many days that ive been late with the last few payments.

MAL collections
i have 2 collections with them that I know of each one is a medical bill, one I got a letter from them stating that the debt was confirmed , I don't know how that happened I guess its cause lexiginton tried to do something ( so far their not worth the money I'm paying but well see) I did however offer to pay the 2nd account I have with them if they delete this from my credit report I sent them a letter and I'm waiting to hear back form them.

I received my credit reports and it did not have that much on there I don't know I guess maybe its because it was the free ones you get so maybe everything wasn't on there? The one that Lexington has for me has more of my accounts on there but I guess that's about it for me, if anyone can offer any advice as to what to do next I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,
Just thought I would add in my 2 cents fwiw.

It's really great that you are working things out with the OCs. That's much better than dealing with CAs.

On those first two debts.....paying or paid as agreed is good but the lates are probably hurting your score. Try talking to someone and see if there is any way they could remove those (especially since you are paying - it might give you a little bit of leverage). If they say no, don't give up. Keep calling, keep trying. Give them a good sob story and beg and plead for them to remove it.
If that doesn't work, start writing letters. Send one to an exec (like the CEO or Pres - someone with some pull). If that doesn't work, then you can try disputing with the CRAs as never late.

On medical collections.....if at all possible, pay the healthcare provider. Medical debts are a whole other ball game. Go ahead and see what the CA says since you have already sent them a letter.....but if they don't agree, come back and let us know and I will explain a little more about medical and taking care of those kind of debts with the HIPAA process.

The free CRs should have the EXACT TLs/accts as the regular ones. I'm really not sure how LL's report on you would have more.
The main difference with the free reports as far as consumers should be concerned is that disputes made with the free reports give the CRAs 15 extra days to investigate (it's 30 days with a regular CR and 45 days with the free one).

Well, I hope that helps...
Good luck and let us know how things turn out for you.

On your medical bills if you had insurance your getting charged what wasn't paid by insurance theirs a legal term for it.it's illegal.but i call it getting screwed. If you didn't have insurance your getting the full brunt of an health system that's broke and don't give a s*** about it.you need a complete audit of those bills line by line.

they are a bunch of jerks who get their rocks off screwing up your life. They would do the same to their own mother. And not think a thing about it.That's why i sometimes think birth control so be retroactive.Just be a pest.If they reage it's also like a second chance,it brings everything current.

Yes, it's good to do the re-age program. Try to keep up with the payment plan.
And try not to get discouraged, keep calling until you get a sympathetic ear......hopefully someone will help you.

With the medical,.....yes, those can be reported on your CRs. And like jj said, if you had insurance then make sure insurance paid what they were supposed to. If you didn't, then unfortunately there's really nothing you can do but see if you can also set up a payment plan with the healthcare provider/hospital and ask that they please recall it from the CA. If they do that, the CA will have NO RIGHT to report it and you can get it deleted pretty easily.

One other thing.......IF you think you were overcharged, there is a way to find out what they normally SHOULD charge for certain types of visits, procedures, etc. I will see if I can find that info too and maybe post it here when I get a chance. THEN you can say you would be willing to pay $xxx.xx for services rendered as the state recommends.
It's late and my brains going mushy.....lol.......but I did read about hospitals ripping people off and WAY overcharging since they had no insurance. I'll see what I can find tomorrow.

Hope that helps.
Hang in there!

Thanks guys for the input on the hospital bill, I had two in collection and I sent them letter saying that would would pay them in full if the would delete them off of my credit report , still waiting to hear back form them, anyway I had an account with regions , a cking acc, it was closed because of a negative balance and then I guess regions charged it off and sent it to a collections agency, and I called the collections agency and paid them, BUT somehow they cant manage to hire ppl who can count or copy number down correctly so the payment never went through or something, I got my credit reports and I don’t see anything on there about this maybe its gonna show up later I don’t know. So i called the collections agency and I didn’t want to pay them over the phone and have the same thing happen again so I was going to send them a money order for the amount. I just want to know should I ask for something in the letter and what should I say, BOTH regions and CBSI said they don’t report to the credit bureaus so I don’t know any advice guys? I know u guys r good for it :p

this is what i got so far

To whom it may concern,

Enclosed is a payment for $XX.XX which is the FULL amount your company stated that was owed. Please note this is my second attempt to pay this debt and settle this matter with your company. I would greatly appreciate it if upon receiving this letter if you return to me documentation stating that the debt was paid in FULL.

Get it in writing you can't trust them.I would add the cashing of the money order means that this will not report to the credit bureaus.
