NO NO NO!!!
Don't give a CA your SS# and DO NOT sign the letter.

If this were me, I would get the agreement in writing first and THEN send the MO.

NEVER trust a CA. I've heard too many stories of signatures "jumping" from one form to another. And they definitely don't need your social. Just use the acct # for them to identify you. That is plenty.

Ok kinda good news but I called the hospitals billing department asked them if they could recall the bill from collection and OMG they did it, the guy was so nice about it and they put me on a payment plan which I can manage so yay that one is no longer in collections now I only have 2 things in collections and I sent them letters stating that I will pay them if the delete the items off of my credit report, I know nothing huge but ty to whoever posted that comment about calling the original creditor and trying to get the account back with them TY so much, I don’t have to deal with smelly collection agencies on this one :P

Good news! Congrats!

If they CAs say that they can't remove it, correct them by letting them know that they absolutely can remove it. Credit reporting is voluntary and anything that can be reported can be removed.
