Default CRA didpute or goodwill letter?

I have several late payments that I would like to try to remove from my credit report. I have been doing research and it seems I can try to dispute them with the CRA or try to nicely ask the lender to remove them for me.
It seems to me that if I try the goodwill letter and it gets turned down and then try to dispute it later, the letter could come back as evidence that I admitted I was late.
My credit isn't terrible but I would like to get it up over the 700 mark. I have quite a few 30 days and one 60 day.
Which tactic should I try first?

I would probably dispute a few of them. Don't dispute them all on the first letter. Make sure you state clearly that you were "not late" or "never late" and that you want them UPDATED. You do not want them REMOVED (unless you want them removed).

CRAs will sometimes be dicks and remove positive accounts because consumers don't specify exactly what they are requesting.

Default How long should I wait?

I sent my verification letters to the CA's saturday, 16th and checked there status last night and they have all been accepted. (except for one which i knew would be a problem) so would it be okay now for me to send the verification letters certified to the CRA's? or should I wait a few more days?

In regards to this account, I have been fighting this account for years by phone with this guy who calles himself a different name everytime we speak. He sends me threatening emails and texts saying hes gonna take me to court when ive already told him, its not my debt. How do I handle him?

Send him a cease and desist letter allowing them to contact you only by mail. If he calls he's in violation of the FCRA. Ask to see the signed contract you have with him. This way he'll either crap or get off the pot!

I just want to make sure......you meant validation letter for the CAs and dispute letters for the CRAs, right? It's just that there's a big difference.

Once you know that the CA has rec'd your letter, you can immediately dispute with the CRAs.

And, yeah.....on that last acct. Emails and texts? What a piece of work!
Like jj said, send him a limited C & D letter (I'm assuming the debt is not out of SOL) and ask for validation of the debt. Send it CMRR. If he contacts you IN ANY WAY other than mail, record it. If you have caller ID and he calls, take a picture of it. If he threatens you again, save it. Then you have him on continued collection and harassment. Two violations......1K a pop. Then you can send him an ITS letter.
