A collection agency by mistake introduced a derogatory item on my credit report. When I explained to them that payment has been made, they told me that they will issue a letter to credit bureau saying that "the amount has been paid and no due" and ask them to remove it. Is this derogatory item going to stay on my credit report after they remove it also (for 7 yrs ?) or how the whole system works? |
