Which companies report to which credit bureaus?

How can I find out which companies report to which credit bureaus? I was just wondering, because I currently have a car repossession on my credit record, but my cell phone carrier checked my credit today and said it was fine? Is it possible that the repossession would be reported to a different credit agency than the cell phone company uses?

Absolutely. Some companies report your credit (major purchases like car, home, credit cards, etc) to only one of the credit bureaus. Also, in an effort to save themselves money, your cell phone co. probably only checked w/ one company. It's very easy to get a cell phone though--bad credit or not. At most, a phone bill may be approx $100-150 bucks. That's not a big gamble.
