Default Will Pulling My Free Credit Report Hurt My FICO?

I got my free credit report was wondering if it will hurt my girlfriend's credit score if she does the same thing?

to answer your question...No. You can pull your own credit report as many times as you want (through the credit bureaus) without affecting your credit score. It's only when you let lenders and businesses run your credit (inquiries) that your score goes down. It may be after 3 or 4 inquiries your score can drop as much as 25 points.

The first poster is correct. That is what is called a soft-pull on your credit..NOT a hard pull...that will stay there for 2 years and will have an effect for 6 Months...FICO point-wise. It' depends what your history is as to how much it hurts...very little maybe a few points per pull. It's no where near a major hit
