Default Credit Repair Service or Do It Yourself?

What's better a credit repair service or trying to clean it up yourself? I need to clean up somethings on my credit report. Would it be better and faster to higher someone to do it for me or to call these places myself? I need to clear it up kind of quick so I can close on my house.would it be faster to hire someone to clean up my credit for me or to contact them myself? I need to get letters immediately saying I've either settled the debt or made payment arrangements. Which is the better route to go because I'm trying to close on my house ASAP.

Best try to clean it up yourself. Sometimes, it reflects poorly on your credit when you have used a credit repair agency. In fact, my real estate agent told me not to use one UNTIL I had closed. I guess it looks as if you can't handle your own debts. So, you might be okay to seek some advice, but not their services.

The money you pay a credit repair service is better used to pay the debt. Most creditors will negotiate. Decide how much you can pay and when you talk to them, stand firm.

It depends how much you value your time. Most credit repair services are experienced and professional. The reputable ones know what they are doing.

If you want to do it yourself, you definitely can but, it does take time to learn how to do it properly. And the more time you put into studying the subject the better of you will be. If you have time, I definitely agree with the others and say DO IT YOURSELF! You will learn a lot!
