Remove inquiries from a credit report?

Is there a way to remove inquiries from a credit report without waiting for 2 years to have them clear? An inquiry stays on your report for 2 years. I spend all day looking at peoples credit bureau reports and they do in fact stay for 2 years. I had heard there were ways to get them removed from a report, but I was not sure.

You can stop inquiries by requesting a fraud alert be placed on your report. Before anyone can obtain information about your credit the credit bureau has to notify you and you would have to give them permission. I believe it only last 90 days so you would have to continue doing this. The benefit is it will reduce your junk snail mail tremendously. This is actually what identity theft companies do, but they continue to place the alert on your account every few months.
