As far as I know I did not have a score. The reason for that is because I had not established credit.

I began with four lone collection accounts. I have since had those removed and right now I have a total of 4 credit items in good standing. What is hurting my scores right now is the short credit history. Most of my inquiries are on my Experian credit report and I have just opened 2 credit cards which is affecting my credit history average.

What I'm going to do to improve my score is keep the accounts open as long as possible, keep my balances low and pay everything on time.

Default 722!

After viewing my credit reports, I thought it would be in the lower 600s. 722 came from TU. This is my starting score before getting it up. Looking forward to your help!

Default my score is 582....

and im pretty much in the same boat... I paid off a bunch off my debt which was little... 150 here, 65 there, and 312 etc etc etc... Im going to get a secured card from my bank as well. How long will it be before you start seeing changes in your score? I just paid off all my debt this month. Do you think in a year I will be able to get a car loan? I want to save like 10grand by October of next year, and get my self into a 3 or 4 year old car with a nice down payment.

It is essential to know that having good credit score is important. By having
good score getting unsecured credit cards and applying for loans is much easier.

My middle score is currently 710, after a nasty bankruptcy in 2005 I worked diligently in credit repair and got rewarded.

Default Credit Score

Well I am just starting my credit repair journey, I see that no one has posted to this thread for a very long time. Today when I was applying for a secured credit card from my credit union I got my first credit score, Transunion has me at 462, Monday I plan on buying all 3 CRs, I have a long ways to go, but thanks to this site, I have a solid plan to get me there, and hopefully in a fairly quick manner. I am rehabilitating my 2 defaulted student loans, I opened a secure credit card since I have zero open lines of credit. In about 6 more months my student loans will be out of default and I will have 2 more open lines of credit, plus 6 months of recent credit with the secured card I opened today. So I think my score should rise fairly quickly. If anyone has any suggestions then feel free to let me know.
