Default Mycreditquote.com

Does Mycreditquote.com give you real and legitimate credit scores from all 3 credit bureaus? Because my scores were 130 points higher on MyCreditQuote versus a lot lower score from the Experian website . Obviously, something is not right.

Default That is common

Get scores directly from credit bureaus not any 3rd party of information.

I agree with the no 3rd party information, but MyFICO.com is the only place to get your true FICO scores.

These are the scores that 90% of the worlds lenders use.

Thumbs down Total Ripoff

Well, MCQ no longer exists (and they owe a few companies over half a million dollars, so I assume we won't see them any time soon), but definitely don't give them any information.

Their "Credit Score Estimator" is a way to get you to plug in your information so they can sell it (including your bank routing and account numbers!) to third parties. They even explicitly state in their "privacy" policy that they can do whatever they want with your information including transfer it, email you third party offers, or share it with "unaffiliated third parties"

I wish I could track down the new company they have started so they can repeat this process all over again with all new unsuspecting users and partners.

AnnualCreditReport.com doesn't give any credit scores and has nothing to do with FICO. They only give your reports. If you want your scores on top of that, you must pay, but they are not your FICO scores.

You either have to get your scores directly from the credit repositories, they charge one price for the report and extra for the scores. Same thing with MyFico.com and annualcreditreport.com. Also annualcreditreport.com is not an actual FICO score it just uses a system similar to FICO.

The thing to remeber is that credit reports sent to the consumer and credit reports viewed by companies used to evaluate risk is different. Most of the time the consumer score will be higher. In qualifying people for mortgages there are times when I pulled a credit and viewed a report given to a consumer nine times out of ten, the consumer report was lower.
