Default Clean up my bad credit

How can I clean up my bad credit a real easy way? Its pretty bad, I am in no way an irresponsible person. I make decent money and just want to start turning things arround. Any hidden tricks I don't know?

Short answer: Write letters to the credit bureaus disputing negative items on your report. You can use the sample dispute letters here.

There are many other methods such as negotiating with creditors, writing validation letters to collection agencies, etc.

Good luck on your journey. Hopefully more suggestions will follow.

Check your credit report and correct any mistakes. Otherwise, the only way to correct your credit is to do everything right from here on out. It usually takes at least three years from the last negative item on your report before you see significant improvement.
