Applied for capital one credit card, Am I denied?

I applied online and it stated that they will mail me the decision. Does this usually mean no that I didn't get it???Or do they do that to everyone?

I am fairly sure they do that to everyone.. they have to do a credit check which may take some time. Alternatively if you have a questionable credit background then it make take some time to set a credit limit.. which usually takes a person making a decision (and is not instantaneous)

actually it just means that they have to take a closer look at your credit and theyll tell you whether you got it or didn't. but yeah sometimes thats what it means. depends on the credit card company

It usually means that they will need additional information. They may call you to verify information that you entered on your application, such as your salary or employment, or they may need more time to review your credit report. CapOne has pretty lenient lending standards, so I definitely would not interpret that as a denial.
