About a month ago, before joining this group, I disputed many things that were on my credit report. One of them was for a bill from a Veterinarian hospital. How they got my information, I will never know. Either way, it is showing up on all three credit reports. THe information was verified and the CA sent me a letter that reads Requested Documentation. It is followed as such: Amount Claimed: Principal: 124.01 Interest (as of 3/23/2011): 74.70 Collection Costs: 0.00 TOTAL CLAIMED: 198.71 Please find enclosed the information you requested. We may accrue interest at the maximum rate allowable by law. CREDITORS ALLIANCE, INC. Along with this letter, they sent a copy of the invoice. This bill is dated 4/22/2008. I live in Indiana and the SOL is still in effect. What can I do about this? Is the bill sufficient enough evidence for me to pay? if so, should I PFD? |

Is the bill accurate? It is proabably sufficient, absent any dispute on your part. PFD is certainly an option. Best chance of getting the PFD accepted would be to offer the full amount. The only risk with a PFD is that the debt is still within SOL, but legal action on such a relatively minor debt is probably unlikely. |
