Ok,, So, I need some advice. I found a negative entry on my credit report on the amount of $1,932.00 so I call the collection agency and ask them to provide me info on the acct. When they emailed me the document I clearly was able to determine that the signature was not mine. This was a corporate debt and my secretary at the time forged my signature as a personal guarantor. I then responded to the CA and informed them of this and also sent them scanned images of my drivers license ( a current license and an expired one)to prove that the signature was not mine. The CA said they will settle for half and remove from my report. It really pisses me off that someone forged my signature and these jerk offs will not remove it. I have even offered to provide more signature samples from tax returns and bank signature cards. They told me I would need to hire a signature expert to as proof. Should I hire an attorney? What are my rights?

Yes, you should consult with an attorney. It is not wise to send the collection agency any personal information or copies of my signature, tax returns or any kind of "proof". They are not a judge and this is not a court case. They are sleazy, minimum wage bastards and many times criminals, who chose to make their living by lying, harassing and making others lives miserable. I wouldn't be surprised if they forged a few more contracts with the signatures you just gave them or some document that says you agree to pay in full...very risky.
