Im a newbie so please be nice.. . Ill get right down to it.2007 got a root canal.I had a verbal agreement with my dentist for a root canal for 800 dollars. Got my bill and they wanted 1055. I was furious. payed my agreed 800 left and never went back. 2008 collections started to call and tell me i had a balance of 255 and to pay or it will go on my CR. I then sent them a CMRRR explaining the situation. Of course they continued to harass me.In 2009, I went for a loan for a house(denied) and it was on my credit report. I then called the dentist to try to get this off my report. Finally got him to take care of it. Loan approved several days later. Thinking it was delete from my CR a i applied for a refinance a couple weeks ago.And what do you know..Its on my CR. It disappeared then came back? And it says paid. (I never paid). I called the dentist and he said the CA is the only one that can get rid of it. I then called the CA and they said the dentist is the only one that can get rid of it. I've read a lot on the forums and found no similar stories. Not sure where to go from here except a dispute letter to the CRB. But not sure what to put in the letter. Any help would be great. |

A basic dispute letter should work. If they verify it, try debt validation with the CA. Or you could just start with a 1, 2 punch.
