Default Professional Account Management, LLC Woes!!! Help!

I have 4 tickets with the Washington DC government that were referred to "Professional Account Management". Last week, I called PAM ((866) 353-7145) and spoke with a representative about paying one of the tickets, which was $65. I was told I had two payment options, either pay over the phone, or pay through the DC government website. I decided to pay through the DC website, as I felt it would be easier to pay online and get a receipt.

Here is my problem, after paying online I only received a confirmation code, no reciept, no email confirmation, NOTHING. Concerned, I called this week to see if the payment had been posted to my account, and the lady I spoke with said they have no record of my payment. HOWEVER, my bank statement w/ M&T clearly shows that the ticket payment was charged and cleared. The woman I spoke with stated that my only recourse would be to mail in the bank statement to show that I have, in fact, paid the bill.

What options do I have if I mail in the bank statement, and the account still isn't updated as paid? (in fact, according to the dmv website, the account will be deleted by the CA once marked as paid )

The problem might be that she gave you bad advice. It doesn't make sense really to me to pay the original creditor once they have sold the debt does it? Anyone out their smarter than me got an opinion on this?

Just because a debt collector is involved does not mean that the debt was sold to them. In fact, if the debt were sold, then the OC could no longer accept payment.
Proof of payment should resolve the issue. However, I have a problem with the referenced statement on their web page. Payment of a debt never requries deletion of the reporting of the collection. OCs cant compel deletion of reporting done by a debt collector. Maybe they have some agreement with the debt collector that payment will result in CA deletion, but they certainly have no authority to compel such deletion.
